This dataset contains geospatial data and maps of flood exposure in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 2024 with overlays of racial composition and income distribution. It was developed to analyze how extreme flooding intersects with existing socio-economic and racial inequalities in the urban space. The dataset includes flood extent and exposure maps from the 2024 floods, combined with census-based indicators of race and household income at the neighborhood and census tract levels. Spatial overlays allow for the identification of areas where flood impacts disproportionately affect low-income and racially marginalized populations.
