Abstract

PRESENTACIÓN del monográfico La tradición helena en el teatro español y el teatro argentino de los siglos XIX-XXI que se centra en la influencia de la inmensa y perene dramaturgia ática, cuyas huellas (fuertes o tenues) son visibles a lo largo de toda la dramaturgia española y argentina. El teatro del mundo occidental, desde Roma hasta la actualidad, se sirve de una manera ininterrumpida, aunque variable según épocas y países, del modelo griego, cuyos elementos heredados se rastrean con facilidad en todos los géneros dramáticos posteriores; obras como Edipo Rey, Antígona o Medea siguen siendo representadas, inspirando ad aeternum el teatro hispano y corroborando, como un sello inconfundible, la vigencia de la tradición helena en el arte dramático.
