This paper proposes that mate preference is a form of cognition, not taste. The Four-Axis Cognition Model (intelligence, economics, mental stability, appearance) combined with two evaluation functions (normal/inverted) generates 64 mate preference types. The inverted type's cognitive deficit stems from tense processing deficit—inability to integrate past, present, and future. This drives a closed cycle: tense processing deficit → evaluation function inversion → DV → intergenerational transmission. Grammatical analysis of 83 DV perpetrator phrases confirms syntactic breakdown corresponds to arrested tense processing stages. Solutions: syntax training in education, early detection via student writing analysis, and social provision of the paternity label.
