
This report examines how young and aspiring farmers across Europe perceive the conditions shaping agricultural work and how these conditions influence entry, retention, working life, succession, and well-being. By centring youth perspectives, it provides qualitative evidence the SafeHabitus research exploring issues associated with quality of life and well-being, and how these influence the attractiveness of farming. This research aims to enhance understanding of the working conditions of young and potential future farmers and provide evidence to inform policy development at EU and national level so that farming can be experienced as safer, fairer, and more attractive for the next generation.
