Curated Dataset Supporting "Scaling glucose-based rhamnolipid production with engineered Pseudomonas putida: Environmental and economic challenges from plasmid-based pilot test to antibiotic-free industry simulation"

Abstract

This dataset provides a comprehensive set of tables describing the process simulation and techno-economic analysis of rhamnolipid biosurfactant production through microbial fermentation. The dataset encompasses material and energy balances, operating parameters, capital investment estimates, and itemized operating cost projections for a hypothetical industrial-scale facility. Simulations were carried out using SuperPro Designer 14, and data were generated using process simulation methodologies and standardized cost estimation frameworks applicable to biotechnological manufacturing. The dataset includes normalized material consumption factors, section-level process metrics, component physicochemical properties, and aggregated economic indicators suitable for comparative techno-economic assessments, sensitivity analysis, educational case studies, and preliminary feasibility evaluations in biosurfactant production and bioprocess engineering.
