O'ZBEK VA INGLIZ TILLARIDA TOPONIMLARNING ETIMOLOGIK TAHLILI: TERMIZ VA VINCHESTER SHAHARLARI TOPONIMIK OBYEKT NOMLARI MISOLIDA

Abstract

Mazkur maqolada o‘zbek va ingliz tillarida toponimlarning struktur-semantik hamda lingvokulturologik xususiyatlari qiyosiy yondashuv asosida yoritiladi. Tadqiqot Termiz (O‘zbekiston) va Vinchester (Angliya) shaharlarining toponimik obyekt nomlari materiallari asosida olib borildi. Toponimlarning etimologik ildizlari, semantik motivatsiyasi, topoformantlar tizimi va nomlash strategiyalaridagi farqlar tahlil qilindi. Natijalarga ko‘ra, Termiz toponimlari ko‘proq milliy qadriyatlar, ijtimoiy-aksiologik mazmun hamda etnomadaniy belgilar bilan, Winchester toponimlari esa tarixiy qatlamdorlik, institutsional xotira va diniy-memorial omillar bilan xarakterlanadi.
