Þróun á vinnsluferli til fullnýtingar á klóþangi (Ascophyllum nodosum) úr Breiðafirði

Abstract

Með þessu móti voru kannaðir möguleikar á fullnýtingu lífmassans og þar með mikilli verðmætaaukningu.___The aim of this project was to extract and study valuable ingredients, fucoxanthin, alginates and fucoidan, from the residue biomass from the production of biostimulant from Ascophyllum nodosum, which can be used in dietary supplements or food. In this way, the possibilities were explored to fully utilise the seaweed biomass and thereby greatly increasing its value.
