INGLIZ TILIDAGI EFIMIZMLARNING SEMANTIK JIHATLARI

Abstract

Ushbu maqolada ingliz tilidagi evfemizmlarning semantik va stilistik xususiyatlari tahlil qilinadi. Evfemizm – salbiy, noqulay yoki tabu mazmunga ega bo‘lgan so‘z va iboralarni muloyim, yumshoq yoki ijtimoiy ma’qul variantlar bilan almashtirish hodisasi sifatida izohlanadi. Tadqiqotda evfemizmlarning ijtimoiy vazifalari, xususan, yuzni saqlash (face-saving), odob doirasida muloqot qilish, qiyin mavzulardan chetlab o‘tish hamda ijobiy konnotatsiya yaratish kabi funksiyalari ko‘rib chiqiladi. Shuningdek, evfemizmlarning asosiy semantik jarayonlari – metafora, metonimiya, sindekdoha, perifraza, hiperbola, remodelling kabi figurativ vositalar orqali shakllanishi yoritiladi. Maqolada evfemizmlarning pragmatik va stilistik roliga, ularning kommunikativ samaradorlikni oshirishdagi ahamiyatiga alohida e’tibor qaratilgan. Tadqiqot natijalari evfemizmlarning jamiyatdagi nutqiy madaniyat, ijtimoiy me’yor va madaniy qadriyatlar bilan uzviy bog‘liq ekanligini ko‘rsatadi.
