Abstract

This document provides a structured overview of Dimensions AI as a research database, with a special focus on its search strategies and term modifiers. It introduces Dimensions AI, explains its key features, and describes different search mechanisms including keyword search, Boolean operators, field-based search, faceted filtering, citation-based search, and similarity search. The assignment also includes practical examples of term modifiers such as wildcards, proximity search, exact phrase searching, and use of parentheses, along with their impact on search results. The document is intended as a learning resource for students and beginners in Library and Information Science to understand how to effectively search and retrieve scholarly information using Dimensions AI.
