Role of Nano-Formulation in Persistence and Dissipation of Pesticide Residues

Abstract

Nano-formulation plays a significant role in the persistence and dissipation of pesticide residues, offering both environmental and agricultural benefits. Controlled release extends the bioavailability of the pesticide, reducing the need for frequent applications. This minimizes the persistence of excess residues in the environment. By avoiding sudden surges of pesticides in the soil or water, nano-formulations reduce the likelihood of toxic build-up. Since the active ingredient is used more efficiently, the required dose is reduced, leading to fewer residues in the environment. Reduced environmental persistence translates to safer food products with minimal pesticide residue levels
