Abstract

This release is the archival snapshot of OpenCare used for the BMC Bioinformatics submission. OpenCare is a containerized Nextflow workflow for paired tumor–normal exome analysis that performs QC, alignment, somatic calling, annotation, and generates a tumor-board–style HTML report plus a structured JSON report representation. Key features Paired tumor–normal routing (TN mode) with somatic variant calling and filtering Offline annotation support (cache-based) for reproducible runs Clinical-review outputs: interactive HTML report + machine-readable JSON Reproducibility Tagged release: v1.0.0 Containers and pinned tool versions are recorded in the workflow configuration Example run command and dataset notes are included in README How to run See README.md for required inputs, profiles (Docker/Singularity), and example commands.
