
This report summarizes the "Steelmaking" and "Corrosion" workshops held at UNIFEI, where students presented applied engineering solutions. Topics ranged from optimizing production logistics and reducing setup times in steel plants to analyzing wear in mining grinding media. The activities demonstrate the effective integration of academic theory with industrial challenges through active learning, aiming to reassure industry professionals and researchers of the workshop's relevance and quality.
