This paper presents an integrative theoretical framework linking psychological accounts of meaning and narrative coherence to structural conditions underlying unified conscious experience. Drawing on established work in psychology and philosophy of mind, it examines why meaning functions as a stabilizing factor in cognition and mental health, and why narrative plays a central role in maintaining or restoring experiential coherence under conditions of disruption. The paper introduces a structural account of experiential orientability to clarify these phenomena, offering an explanatory layer that complements psychological description without reducing it to neuroscience or physics. The framework is intended to support conceptual integration across clinical, theoretical, and phenomenological perspectives.
