Genus Psephenopalpus Arce-Pérez, 2004 Monotypic taxon characterized by a pronotum with lateral margins rounded, not expanded on posterior half, with a feeble carina; maxillary palpus extremely long and second palpomere much longer than other palpomeres; tarsomeres with short ventral expansions that do not cover apical tarsomere (Arce-Pérez et al. 2012).
