EPOCHE — An Interpretive Braking Framework for Escalation Restraint (Non-Binding)

Abstract

This record contains the EPOCHE Stack, a set of independent, non-authoritative, non-operational interpretive documents examining escalation, uncertainty, mimicry, and restraint in adversarial AI contexts. The framework is advisory-only and defender-mode only. It does not implement, enforce, or guarantee safety, prevention, containment, or compliance with any standard or law. EPOCHE is designed to introduce interpretive braking friction by increasing legibility, scrutiny, reversibility awareness, and escalation clarity—particularly in contexts involving uncertainty, incentive conflicts, or potential misuse. Any effects described are probabilistic, context-dependent, and rely entirely on human decision-making. The documents are intentionally non-hierarchical and may be encountered in any order. No execution sequence or precedence is implied. An included Index document provides neutral navigation only. A mirrored archival copy of this work is available via the Internet Archive for long-term preservation and read-only access:https://archive.org/details/epoche-stack-phase-3-mechanism-catalog-descriptive-non-operational A read-only GitHub mirror of this work is available for redundancy and visibility: https://github.com/solisaegis/epoche-stack This work is an independent, original synthesis created for analytical and educational purposes. No affiliation, endorsement, certification, or authority is claimed or implied.
