
Resumo: Nos anos 1990, a Organização Mundial de Saúde identificou a violência contra as mulheres como grave questão de saúde pública. Destaca-se a importância dos profissionais de saúde na identificação mulheres em situação de violência. A pesquisa investigou vivências de profissionais atuantes na Atenção Primária à Saúde no atendimento a mulheres em situação de violência. Com abordagem qualitativa e análise por Núcleos de Significação, revelou dificuldades nos atendimentos, medicalização, fragilidade da rede de apoio e fatores culturais e religiosos que naturalizam a violência. Palavras-chave: Violência; Mulheres; Profissionais de Saúde. Abstract:In the 1990s, the WHO identified violence against women as a serious public health issue. This study aimed to understand the experiences of professionals working in Primary Health Care when assisting women in situations of gender-based violence. Using a qualitative approach and analysis through Meaning Cores, the study revealed difficulties in care, medicalization of cases, a fragile support network, and cultural and religious factors that contribute to the normalization of violence.
