Attitudes of Primary School Teachers towards AI (Rogers' Diffusion of Innovations)

Abstract

The dataset presents results from a quantitative survey conducted among 367 primary school teachers (1st stage) in the Hradec Králové Region (Czech Republic). The aim was to map the current adoption rate of Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva, Gemini) and identify factors influencing their use in pedagogical practice. The data include respondent demographics, an overview of actively used AI tools, and scales measuring teacher attitudes and innovativeness profiles. According to the Statistical Yearbook of Education (MŠMT, 2024/2025), there have been 2,539 teachers at the 1st stage of primary schools in Hradec Králové Region. The obtained sample covers approximately 14.5% of the target population, ensuring a high level of representativeness for the region.

Datová sada prezentuje výsledky kvantitativního šetření realizovaného mezi 367 učiteli 1. stupně ZŠ v Královéhradeckém kraji. Cílem sběru dat bylo zmapovat aktuální míru adopce nástrojů umělé inteligence (např. ChatGPT, Canva, Gemini) a identifikovat faktory ovlivňující jejich využívání v pedagogické praxi. Data zahrnují demografické charakteristiky respondentů, přehled aktivně využívaných AI nástrojů a sady škál měřící postoje učitelů i jejich profil inovativnosti. Dle Statistické ročenky školství (MŠMT, 2024/2025) působilo v Královéhradeckém kraji na 1. stupni celkem 2 539 učitelů. Získaný vzorek tak pokrývá přibližně 14,5 % cílové populace, což zajišťuje vysokou míru reprezentativnosti pro daný region.
