The Challenges of AI in Preventing Geological Risk Areas

Abstract

Este artigo aborda a implementação da Inteligência Artificial (IA) na prevenção de áreas de riscos geológicos e climáticos. A pesquisa fundamenta-se em análise Bibliográfica de desastres climáticos, naturais e geológicos que ocorrem no Brasil, destacando os desafios e oportunidades do uso da IA para o monitoramento e prevenção de áreas de riscos geológicos como a análises de geoespacial, geoprocessamentos, hidrológicos e climáticos, auxiliando nas identificações de procedimentos e padrões associados a enchentes, deslizamentos de terra, erosões e subsidências. O estudo discute as barreiras estruturais e técnicas da sua implementação, como os elevados custos tecnológicos, adequações de infraestruturas, ausência de dados suficientes e de qualidade para melhor tomada de decisão e falta de mão de obra profissional e qualificada para manuseio desses equipamentos. Além disso, a implementações da IA sobre as questões de interesse social mapeando principalmente áreas de vulnerabilidade. Conclui-se que a IA é fundamental para o monitoramento dos riscos geológicos.
