La apertura comercial exportadora ecuatoriana y de sus pares suramericanos: Una perspectiva de resiliencia frente a la Covid-19

Abstract

El comercio exterior brinda a las naciones por medio de exportaciones la oportunidad de ejercer resiliencia ante adversidades inherentes tanto a la coyuntura propia como a shocks externos tal como, la pandemia COVID-19. En función de lo señalado se determinó como objetivo de a presente investigación analizar la apertura comercial exportadora de las naciones suramericanos, ello como una perspectiva de la resiliencia la crisis económica generada por el COVID-19, considerando como año pandémico el 2020. El estudio se ejerció por medio de un enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo, aplicado y no experimental. Dentro de los aspectos más relevantes, se identificaron países con una apertura comercial consistente a lo largo del tiempo. En este sentido, Chile se posicionó como la nación líder, ocupando el primer lugar del ranking tanto en el periodo previo a la pandemia (2016-2019) como en el periodo posterior (2021-2024), lo que refleja una estabilidad sostenida en su política comercial. Por su parte, Paraguay mantuvo un desempeño destacado, ubicándose en el segundo lugar durante el periodo 2016-2019 y descendiendo levemente al tercer lugar en el periodo 2021-2024, sin perder su posición entre las economías con mayor apertura comercial. En cuanto a Ecuador, los resultados evidencian una mejora significativa en su nivel de apertura comercial, al pasar del quinto lugar en el periodo 2016-2019 al segundo lugar en el periodo 2021-2024, lo que demuestra una notable capacidad de adaptación y recuperación tras el impacto de la pandemia.
