Άντληση υπόγειων υδάτων και σεισμοί (ΦΕ43)

Abstract

Το θέμα αφορά τη μελέτη των αιτιών πρόκλησης των σεισμών και αναδεικνύει ότι η υπεράντληση υπογείων υδάτων ενδέχεται να ενισχύει σεισμικά φαινόμενα. Οι μαθητές/τριες καλούνται να αντλήσουν πληροφορίες από κείμενα (πώς δημιουργούνται οι σεισμοί, ο σεισμός στη Λόρκα της Ισπανίας) και εικόνες, να χρησιμοποιήσουν βασικές γνώσεις Γεωλογίας (κίνηση τεκτονικών πλακών) και να σκεφτούν κριτικά, προκειμένου να: • ερμηνεύσουν τα αίτια της αύξησης της πίεσης στα ρήγματα,• κατατάξουν την πιθανότητα δημιουργίας σεισμού σε μία περιοχή ανάλογα με την κατανομή έντασης της πίεσης σε γειτονικά ρήγματα,• αναγνωρίσουν τις επιστημονικές παρατηρήσεις που οδήγησαν τους επιστήμονες να εκτιμήσουν ότι ένας σεισμός μπορεί να οφείλεται σε και ανθρώπινη δραστηριότητα (άντληση υπογείων υδάτων).
