
GenusErgatettixKirby, 1914 Type species. — Ergatettix tarsalis Kirby, 1914 (= dorsiferus), by monotypy and original designation Taxonomic remarks. — Vertex and eyes raised above pronotum level; antennae inserted distinctly below inferior margin of compound eyes; median carina of pronotum undulated, mid femora wide, basal part of mid tibia expanded. Similar to Euparatettix but differs in antennal position, median carina, and width of mid-femora. Composition. — Includes 19 valid species worldwide (Cigliano et al. 2025), 5 of which are reported in India (Chand et al. 2024) and a single species from Kerala (Thasnim et al. 2023).
