
This study examines contemporary requirements for the professional, pedagogical, and personal competencies of teachers working within the professional education system of Uzbekistan. The research emphasises the significance of subject-specific knowledge, practical experience, pedagogical expertise, and proficiency in the use of information and communication technologies in the professional activities of vocational education teachers. Furthermore, the role of teachers’ moral and ethical qualities, as well as their continuous professional development, is substantiated as a key factor in enhancing the quality of professional education and in training competitive and highly qualified specialists. The findings of the study may contribute to improving teacher training and professional development practices within professional education institutions.
