SPARC ETA Policy v1.4 (η=0.12) — Environment-Proxy Wiring under Restricted B2G075 (FULLPACK + Report)

Abstract

This record provides a LOCKED, reproducible evidence pack for a conservative environment-proxy wiring strategy applied to SPARC rotation-curve (RC) fits under a frozen global μ_eff model. Core wiring definition:g_eff = g_bar + η · g_env,where g_env is an external environment-proxy acceleration derived from a 2MRS-based neighbor catalog. The μ_eff model is evaluated under the Restricted B2G075 baseline (fixed shape: β = 2.0, γ = 0.75), with global parameters held fixed (“frozen”) to enable controlled, audit-friendly comparisons. Scope / what this record contains:- A reproducible fullpack bundle (run directories, inputs, results tables, plots, and manifests) prepared under a strict NO-OVERWRITE contract (time-stamped runs).- Environment-proxy outputs (per-galaxy g_env estimates and σ_env summary).- ETA sweeps evaluated on SPARC metrics (per-galaxy NRMSE / RMSE-based summaries).- Conservative gating rules (“validity-domain gate”) that restrict where η-wiring is applied.- Permutation/null controls to test the null hypothesis (i.e., whether the observed gated statistics are distinguishable from random assignments). Version v1.4.1 update (Test A decomposition):This version adds an explicit decomposition test (“Test A”) separating:(A1) gate-only at η = 0,(A2) η-only with gate OFF (uniform coupling),(A3) combined gate + η wiring. The results show that η-only is consistent with a null effect (net=0 at the population level), and gate-only does not yield a robust population improvement by itself; the observed net gain arises only from the combined conservative gating + η wiring configuration. Interpretation:This release should be interpreted as a methodology/validation framework for environment-proxy wiring in SPARC RC fits, not as a statistically significant detection claim of a physical environment coupling signal in the SPARC sample. Reproducibility:All outputs are produced under a strict NO-OVERWRITE workflow with time-stamped run directories and audit-friendly manifests (PATHMAP + SHA256). Volatile logs are excluded from checksum finalization, and the fullpack is intended to be “downloader-verifiable” after extraction.
