The dataset consists of responses collected from five publicly accessible large language models through semi-structured interviews. Data collection occurred on September 7, 2025, with all interactions conducted through a newly created email account to prevent potential bias from previous user interactions. The questions covered multiple dimensions of the caregiving phenomenon: General perspectives on grandparent caregiving Balancing elderly individuals' wishes and family expectations Caregiving when families face financial difficulties Whether caregiving is a family responsibility or individual choice Appropriate compensation for caregiving elderly Elderly individuals' right to choose whether to provide care Effects on intergenerational relationships Health impacts on elderly caregivers Response Characteristics: Response lengths varied considerably across models, reflecting different communication styles and depths of engagement.
