By didactic discourse, we mean the set of processes through which the exchange of information meanings between teacher and students, in a certain educational situation, is carried out. "We can talk about the didactic discourse in terms of influence or action taken in order to cause changes in the student's personality." [3, p.124] In the teaching activity, the teacher uses a multitude of codes. The language used in a didactic discourse is informative, descriptive and explanatory, presented in a concise, unambiguous manner and with a terminological content with unidirectional references. In the conditions of a modern dynamic development of the society and fast development of more complex technical and social infrastructure, the information becomes the most important strategic resource. Together with traditional resources - material and modern information technologies that allow the creation, storage, processing and provision of efficient ways of presenting student information, have become not only an important factor in the life of society but also a technical tool of improving the management of all fields of activity. According to C. Cucoș [1, p.443], the methods of education can be grouped into two main categories: a) teaching methods that include the didactic message: drawings, albums, panels; b) teaching methods that facilitate the transmission of teaching messages: computers and computer’s equipment; electronic educational games; teaching simulators, equipment for phonics laboratories. Among the basic advantages of computer-assisted training, we mention, first of all, the great saving of time. At the same time, modern technical resources enhance verbal explanations, as they are a visible intuitive support, which are presented to students as a reality difficult to access directly, provoke cognitive motivations, which, implicitly, support them, strengthen students' knowledge, streamline the use of training time. The functions of a computer, as a tool for learning activities, are based on the possibility to accurately record reality, [2, p.56] to store and transfer a large amount of information, grouping and processing of statistical data. These facilitate optimized learning management and improve the effectiveness and objectivity of the educational process. Studies conducted, in the last five years in different countries, have shown that the use of information and communication technologies in education contributes to the improving of student outcomes. Through the process of study in the Romanian Language and Medical Terminology course, medical students use multiple modern instruments and techniques of education. During learning process (lessons) students have access to the dictionaries available on the internet such as: DEX, DOOM2, Dictionary of synonyms, Dictionary of antonyms, Romanian-English Dictionary, English-Romanian Dictionary, etc. This fact allows them to save time and explain all the unknown terms from a text. Moreover, they can have access to these dictionaries not only in the classroom or in the library, but anywhere and at any time. In order to develop communication skills, teacher presents them with various forms of communication (videos, presentations etc) that reflect situations from everyday life or in the specialized field. These communication models facilitate to overcome certain barriers that students encounter. After watching the teaching tool resource like movies, they have to create similar communication situations themselves, so they assimilate certain communication expressions. Futhermore, viewing and listening can train several types of memory, which facilitates the process of assimilating the Romanian language as a foreign language.
