Abstract

Imagine a compact device, the size of a suitcase, generating bursts of high-voltage (HV) pulses and high-power microwaves (HPM) to neutralize drone swarms over 50 meters away—without bullets or explosives. This is the core of Mihai Ganciu-Petcu's patented invention: a system using fast thermal polarization-depolarization (FTPD) of pre-polarized ferroelectric materials like BaTiO₃ or PZT. Unlike destructive legacy technologies, this system is non-destructive, repeatable, and low-cost, converting stored polarization energy into ultra-fast HV pulses with rise times under 5 nanoseconds (ns)—a controlled lightning strike.
