TABLE 4 in Revision of genera in Goniodidae (Phthiraptera: Ischnocera) parasitising gamefowl (Aves: Galliformes) with descriptions of six new genera, one new subgenus and seven new species

Abstract

TABLE 4. Host distribution of lice belonging to the Goniocotes -, Goniodes -, Lagopoecus - and Oxylipeurus -complexes on selected, mainly large-bodied, Asian phasianids for which the louse fauna is relatively well known. The limit between “high elevation” and “low elevation” is here arbitrarily set at around 3000m, based on where most of the respective species ranges are found, with data derived from Madge & McGowan (2002). Terminology for species groups in Lagopoecus follows Gustafsson et al. (2025). Genera of the Goniodes -complex with a bifid internal structure in the female genitalia are denoted with an asterisk (*).
