Abstract

Orthetrum testaceum testaceum (Burmeister, 1839) Selected references: Libellula testacea Burmeister, 1839;— Burmeister 1839: 859 (original description from Java);— Selys 1889: 463 (first record from Sumatra: first records from Sumatra: North Sumatra (including Nias) and West Sumatra). Orthetrum testaceum (Burmeister, 1839);— Ris 1927: 40 (first record from Riau). Specimens collected. P4b: 1 ♂ (RER23 _ LIB210; RER), 31 v 2023; P5a: 1 ♂ (RER23 _ LIB211; BRIN), 21 vi 2023; P6e: 1 ♂ (RER23 _ LIB335; UMRI), 23 ix 2023. Remarks. Probably much more common in the Kampar Peninsula than the records above suggest, this species was seen in passing at muddy puddles on roads and at drains in acacia on a number of occasions.
