D1.4 Data Management Plan #2

Authors: Rita, Clancy;

D1.4 Data Management Plan #2

Abstract

This document represents deliverable D1.4 – “Data Management Plan #2”, which is the first updated version of the initial Data Management Plan (DMP) of the MUSIC project (Grant Agreement No. 101092080), funded under the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme (HEU). The initial DMP represents deliverable D1.3 ‘Data Management Plan’, has been submitted on 3rd July 2023 and approved by the PO on 7th October 2024.The MUSIC consortium has assessed the original DMP under the aspects of whether the data management strategy is still relevant for the project, whether the defined processes are effective, whether roles and responsibilities are fulfilled, whether any additional, previously unidentified areas need to be addressed in the context of data management and the public sharing of research data. Areas that had already been identified in the initial DMP were: Data protection and confidentiality, personal data from working with external experts and participants, and limitations in open data sharing to avoid the risk of IP loss.Since the submission of the first DMP, MUSIC carried out stakeholder engagement and knowledge exchange activities that included the collection of basic personal data (e.g. name, background, contact details). Collected data have been kept to the necessary minimum and, as planned as part of the data management strategy in accordance to EU rules and regulations, have been protected in accordance with the EU's Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC1 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.All personal data have solely been collected for the purposes of project activities and with the consent form from the subjects participating.This is the first version of the project Data Management Plan (DMP). It contains preliminary information about the data the project will generate, whether and how it will be exploited or made accessible for verification and re-use, and how it will be curated and preserved. The purpose of the Data Management Plan is to provide an outline of the main elements of the data management policy that all consortium partners will have to comply with for all datasets that will be generated by the project. The DMP is not a final report but represents a living document that will evolve during the term of the project.The datasets referred to in this document reflect the strategy and data status of the project consortium and all individual partners at the time of deliverable preparation and submission, namely the 30th June 2025 (project month 30).A second and final update of the DMP is scheduled for 31st December 2026, representing D1.5 ‘Data Management Plan #3’ (the final DMP).
