DOAS: Der Diamond Open Access Standard

Abstract

DOAS: Der Diamond Open Access Standard contains the final, accessible version of the Diamond Open Access Standard (DOAS) translated into German. DOAS is one of the main outputs of the DIAMAS project and provides a shared quality framework for Diamond Open Access publishing. Diamond Open Access refers to publishing models that do not charge fees to authors or readers and are managed as a public good by scholarly communities. The DOAS outlines a set of criteria and expectations for responsible, sustainable, and equitable scholarly publishing. Its structure is organised around seven core components: Funding Legal ownership, mission, and governance Open Science Editorial management, editorial quality, and research integrity Technical service efficiency Visibility, communication, marketing, and impact Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB), multilingualism, and gender equity This GERMAN version has been prepared to support broader accessibility and to facilitate the dissemination of the DOAS across diverse linguistic and scholarly communities. It corresponds to the latest official content of the standard, rendered here in German for reference and use. Record of official DOAS versions available in Zenodo: DOAS.
