This video introduces a new notification feature in the Yet Another Workflow Language (YAWL) that allows users to configure when and how they are informed about newly available work items via e-mail. It addresses the practical question of why users may not automatically receive notifications when new tasks are created and explains how notification behavior can be customized. The video demonstrates how e-mail notifications for work items can be enabled and configured within the YAWL system. It shows how users can define notification conditions and preferences, allowing them to control when notifications are sent and which events in the workflow trigger communication. In addition, the video presents the necessary preparation steps required to activate e-mail notifications, including system configuration and user-specific settings. This provides a complete overview of both the functional and technical aspects of integrating notification services into YAWL-based workflows. This video corresponds to Video #97 of the YAWL Series.
