This report presents the results of the Students' guidance at university for inclusion STAY-INN project (Ref: 526600-LLP-1-2012-IT-Erasmus-Esin), funded by the European Commission and developed by the STAY-INN Consortium. Its main objective is to analyse the European landscape of guidance and counselling for higher education students. The methodological design combined a review of the literature, interviews with key informants, and a survey of European students. The results show a broad consensus on the need to understand students as a diverse group whose needs evolve throughout the academic cycle. A high potential demand for guidance services is identified, as well as significant gaps between support needs and existing provision. Based on these findings, the design of holistic, flexible, and adaptive guidance services is recommended.
