Geomorphological Mapping 1:50,000 – Concepción Metropolitan Area (CMA), Chile (Shapefiles)

Abstract

This dataset comprises 13 geomorphological maps at 1:50,000 scale, covering the municipalities of the Concepción Metropolitan Area (CMA), Biobío Region, Chile. The maps were produced within the framework of the research project FONDEF ID22I10334: “Implementation of a geomorphological spatial data infrastructure (I2GEO) for the Biobío Region: a standardized tool for territorial planning.” The geomorphological mapping was developed using standardized scientific and cartographic criteria, aimed at supporting territorial planning, environmental analysis, and natural hazard assessment at metropolitan and regional scales.
