Data Management Guide

Abstract

The Biodiversa+ Data Management Guide provides comprehensive guidance for researchers on best practices in data management, open data, and the development of Data Management Plans (DMPs). The guide introduces key concepts such as Open Science, Open Data, FAIR data, and GDPR compliance. It provides practical advice on writing and continually improving a DMP, including a fully structured DMP template with guiding questions. It also offers curated lists of tools, standards, repositories, and international policies relevant to biodiversity and environmental research.
