
Culex (Microculex) sp. 5 Male genitalia (Fig. 22): Tergum IX lobes moderately developed; base wider than apex; distance between lobes 3–4x basal width; apex with 7–9 fine, simple, straight widely distributed setae. Gonocoxite oblong; subapical lobe small, with 5 simple setae, 2 longer than the others. Columnar process short, broad; 2 straight, apically curved setae (a and b); seta a shorter than seta b, inserted at the same level; ventromesal surface with a group of 5 or 6 fine, simple setae. Gonostylus narrow, pointed, curved; broad leaf-like gonostylar claw with pointed apex.Aedeagus with beak-like ventral process; dorsal process medium-sized, pointed; dorsolateral process sinuous, pointed. Aedeagal sclerite hook-like; apical process curved, rounded. Tergum X sinuous; paraproct dilated at basal level, median portion narrow; crown with 8 curved, pointed blades.
