Kumm 1933: 568 (♂ G, ♀, Le); Rozeboom & Komp 1950: 156 (♂ G, tax.): Belkin et al. 1971: 25 (ty. info.); das Dores Cotrim & Galati 1977: 177 (♂ G, Le). Male genitalia (Fig. 14): Tergum IX lobes elongate; external margin convex. Each lobe with 4 simple setae; distance between lobes equal to basal width; discrete pointed apex; external margin slightly rounded. Gonocoxite very similar to that of Cx. pleuristriatus. Subapical lobe with 5 equivalent setae always longer than columnar process; 1 short seta at base of subapical lobe. Columnar process with 2 evident, strong setae (a and b), seta a inserted basal to seta b. Three to 5 setae inserted on base of columnar process; 2 more robust than the others. Gonostylus elongate, narrow, curved at apex; ventral and dorsal surfaces straight; broad, leaf-like gonostylar claw with pointed apex.
