Open-Source Process Mining Tools in Action

Abstract

How can one get started with process mining using freely available and easy-to-access tools?This video provides a hands-on introduction to process mining and serves as the first part of a short sequence on practical process mining techniques. The video outlines how simple event logs can be generated in the standard XES format, how logs can be filtered to support effective process model discovery, and which classes of process mining algorithms are typically applied. The focus is on providing an accessible entry point for practitioners and students who want to experiment with process mining before adopting more advanced tooling. This is video #20 of the BPASeries.
