Abstract

The article examines the psychological features of human perception and interaction with photo content in a digital environment. The mechanisms of emotional response, the processes of identifying and comparing oneself with visual images, the influence of aesthetic characteristics of images on cognitive reactions, as well as the role of context and personal experience in the interpretation of photo information are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the influence of photo content on self-esteem, the formation of social attitudes and user behavior in the online space. It is shown that visual stimuli have a high impact, are able to form stable emotional states, change patterns of information consumption and enhance the effect of presence. The study highlights the need for critical visual literacy and the development of informed strategies for interacting with photographic materials in an environment of information overload.
