Un processus de cynégétisation des populations d'ongulés sauvages controversé

Abstract

Les ongulés sauvages ont fait l’objet au 19e siècle d’un processus de cynégétisation (c’est à dire une appropriation de plus en plus importante par les communautés de chasseurs, en matière de gestion ou de management), poussé par les fédérations de chasse. La chasse fait l’objet de plus en plus d’opposition de la part de la société française, comme en témoignent les dernières enquêtes réalisées par l’Ipsos et l’Ifop : 53 % des personnes interrogées en 2023 étaient opposées à la chasse, 70 % d’entre elles considéraient la chasse comme une pratique cruelle. Le rapport de la société et la chasse et à la cynégétisation qui est faite des ongulés sauvages pose la question des modes de coexistence à inventer, et mobilise la volonté des pouvoirs publics.
