THE ROLE AND POTENTIAL OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION

Abstract

This article examines the role and potential of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the teaching and learning of foreign languages, with particular emphasis on English language education. The study analyzes how AI-based educational platforms, adaptive learning systems, and intelligent interactive tools contribute to improving learning efficiency, personalizing instruction, and fostering learners’ autonomous study skills. The findings highlight that artificial intelligence enhances language acquisition by creating interactive learning environments, supporting continuous assessment, and enabling individualized feedback. The article concludes that the systematic integration of AI technologies represents a significant step toward the modernization of foreign language education
