Abstract

Audiovisual tools (videos, animations, rhythmic songs, classical music) influence the working memory and linguistic progress of Tunisian students aged 8 to 10 learning French as a second language. Drawing on the Mozart effect, the verbo-tonal method developed by Petar Guberina, and Baddeley’s working memory framework, this study examines how these resources help reduce language learning anxiety while improving word retention and communication skills. To achieve these objectives, a quasiexperimental method was used to compare two groups of third-grade primary school students. The results indicate clear progress within the experimental group. This highlights the effectiveness of multimodal methods in Arabic-French bilingual contexts, offering concrete applications for integrating these tools into school curriculato bridge educational gaps.
