TypeScript is a rapidly evolving superset of JavaScript that introduces static typing and modern language features. This study analyzes the adoption of new TypeScript language features across 454 open-source repositories between 2020 and 2022. The research evaluates how quickly new compiler versions and syntactic features are adopted by the developer community. Results indicate that while new TypeScript versions are adopted rapidly, individual language features show varied and gradual adoption patterns. The findings help inform tool developers about which language features require priority support and provide insight into the evolution of modern programming languages.
