Violencia y deshumanización en salud: Revisión crítica del Modelo Médico Hegemónico desde la bioética y el humanismo

Abstract

Este trabajo realiza una revisión crítica del Modelo Médico Hegemónico desde una perspectiva bioética y humanista, con énfasis en las formas de violencia estructural, simbólica e institucional que se reproducen en los sistemas de salud pública. Se evidencia cómo la formación biomédica dominante perpetúa relaciones verticales, despersonaliza la atención y normaliza el maltrato tanto hacia los pacientes como hacia los estudiantes de las diferentes ramas de salud, consolidando una cadena de violencia que afecta la calidad del cuidado. A través del análisis de literatura interdisciplinaria, se propone la necesidad de integrar desde la formación profesional enfoques éticos, sociales y culturales, así como herramientas de evaluación como la Escala Rápida de Satisfacción del Paciente de Consulta Externa (ERSaPaCE), que permitan visibilizar la experiencia real del paciente. Se concluye que la transformación del sistema de salud público no debe limitarse a mejoras técnicas o administrativas, sino asumirse como un acto de justicia social, que pueda reconocer la dignidad, subjetividad y contexto de cada persona atendida.
