PUDL Raw FERC Electric Quarterly Report EQR Form 920 2013Q3 to Present (metadata only)

PUDL Raw FERC Electric Quarterly Report EQR Form 920 2013Q3 to Present (metadata only)

Abstract

About the FERC EQR Dataset The FERC Electric Quarterly Report (EQR) contains data provided by electricity sellers, summarizing contractual terms and conditions in agreements for all jurisdictional services, including cost-based sales, market-based rate sales, and transmission service, as well as transaction information for short-term and long-term market-based power sales and cost-based power sales. Since the adoption of the most recent reporting format in 2013Q3, several billion transactions have been reported. Data Archiving and Processing Catalyst Cooperative captures a fresh snapshot of the FERC EQR data on a quarterly basis and saves it to Google Cloud Storage. The metadata in this Zenodo archive should be updated whenever a new snapshot has been captured. Due to the size of the data, we do not keep a copy of all historical versions. The EQR data is processed into an analysis-ready Apache Parquet dataset, partitioned by quarter. The processed data can be accessed through a free S3 cloud bucket as part of AWS Open Data Registry at: s3://pudl.catalyst.coop/ferceqr We have archived older FERC EQR data, covering the period 2002-2013 here on Zenodo, but do not currently process it, as it is in a very different format and contains much less data. Metadata-only Archive This is a metadata-only archive providing information about the FERC Electric Quarterly Report (EQR) data published by the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The data itself is ~110 GB, which is larger than Zenodo's free storage limit, and is being stored on Google Cloud Storage instead. The datapackage.json file archived here references the real storage location. It uses the Frictionless Data Package standard.
