
Jujubinus roseus n. sp. is described from the Alborán Sea. It belongs to the J. curinii species complex, the so-called “smooth Jujubinus”, and is compared with the other members of the complex: i.e. J. curinii Bogi & Campani, 2005, J. eleonorae Smriglio, Di Giulio & Mariottini, 2014, J. trilloi Smriglio, Di Giulio & Mariottini, 2014, J. alboranensis Smriglio, Mariottini & Oliverio, 2015 and J. browningleeae Smriglio, Mariottini & Swinnen,2018. All species of this complex have very restricted known ranges.
