
Compared with the previous version, BIOSZEN now delivers a major upgrade in data compatibility, analytics, visualization, and stability. BIOSZEN supports multiple input paradigms in the same app: classic platemap + curve files, grouped parameter datasets, and summarized datasets (mean, standard deviation, and replicate count), with compatibility for both Excel and CSV. This improves flexibility for large, high-dimensional datasets, including omics-style workflows. The plotting system was expanded with new Heatmap and Correlation Matrix visualizations, plus advanced palette controls for clearer, publication-ready figures. Statistical analysis was also strengthened with additional curve-comparison methods and adaptive testing workflows (parametric vs non-parametric), including AUC-based comparisons and tests such as t-test, Wilcoxon, ANOVA, and Kruskal-Wallis when appropriate. A new advanced correlation mode enables one-parameter-vs-all correlation analysis across the full available parameter set. Data preparation is more robust through platemap/curve concatenation workflows and stronger validation/recovery paths for mixed input formats. In addition, the app includes technical hardening: bug fixes, better export consistency, improved state/palette persistence, and wider automated test coverage to reduce regressions and improve reliability. Overall, this version is not only richer in features but also substantially more stable and release-ready than the previous one.
BIOSZEN is an app for data analysis and visualization from an Excel file. It can generate boxplot, barplot, violin plot, stacked plots, and correlation plots between parameters. It includes normality tests such as Shapiro-Wilk, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, and Anderson-Darling, and significance tests such as ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis, t-test, and Wilcoxon. It also extracts microbial growth curve parameters (uMax, max_percap_time, doub_time, lag_time, ODmax, max_time, AUC).
