Abstract

Este diálogo con el sociólogo Luis Roniger examina el exilio y las migraciones forzadas en América Latina como procesos políticos estructurales, arraigados en la historia y las prácticas institucionales de la región. Desde la colonia hasta las democracias contemporáneas, el exilio ha operado como un mecanismo de exclusión, configuración identitaria y proyección transnacional de luchas democráticas. Roniger subraya el papel de las redes exiliadas en la defensa de los derechos humanos, así como la centralidad de la memoria, la verdad y la agencia política de los desterrados. La conversación aborda también los desplazamientos contemporáneos vinculados a crisis globales, desigualdades persistentes, violencia, biopolíticas migratorias y transformaciones civilizatorias aceleradas. Se destaca la necesidad de recuperar voces exiliadas para comprender la ciudadanía y la resistencia democrática en el presente.
