Resiliencia y futuro económico: La educación financiera en mujeres rurales de Colombia y Bolivia

Abstract

La educación financiera es fundamental para la resiliencia económica y la reducción de la brecha de género en entornos rurales. Este estudio analiza cómo la adquisición de conocimientos financieros influye en el bienestar y la toma de decisiones de las mujeres rurales en Vaca Díez (Bolivia) y el Sumapaz (Colombia), regiones caracterizadas por la agricultura y el alto comercio informal. Se empleó una metodología descriptivo-comparativa de diseño mixto. Se utilizaron técnicas cualitativas para identificar programas de formación y aproximaciones estadísticas descriptivas para dimensionar el impacto del conocimiento en la autonomía y la negociación económica de las mujeres en sus hogares. Los resultados indican que el conocimiento financiero es un motor clave para el empoderamiento, si bien su impacto está limitado por barreras estructurales y socioculturales, como la informalidad laboral y las desigualdades de género. La contribución valida la educación financiera como palanca de desarrollo, resaltando la necesidad de diseñar estrategias culturalmente sensibles que prioricen la traducción del conocimiento técnico a una mayor autonomía efectiva y capacidad de negociación en el ámbito doméstico.
