
Abstract:This article is about the story "Shum Bola", one of the masterpieces of Uzbek literature. The article first discusses the history of the story's creation and why it is still the most widely read book. The events in the work simultaneously make people laugh and show the bitter truths of the difficult life, hunger and orphanhood of that time. Through the adventures of the Shum boy, we see how people lived in difficult conditions in the post-war years, but still did not lose their originality and cheerfulness. In particular, the character of the main character - Shum boy - will be highlighted. His ability to find a way out of any difficult situation, his ingenuity and his boundless love for life are analyzed. The image of this boy is not just a cheerful child, but a brave and free person who faces difficulties head on. The article explains in simple language how rich and popular the language of the work is, and the uniqueness of each image in it. Through this analysis, the reader rediscovers "Shum Bola" as not just a short story, but a life lesson.
