This study explores the stages of transformation in diplomacy from its traditional forms to digital forms, within the context of the digital age and the virtual world. It analyzes the impacts of social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, on the structures of international relations. The study also addresses the challenges and transformations of digital diplomacy, including the choice between utilizing modern technology and adhering to the traditions of conventional diplomacy. Using a case study approach, the paper examines "Tw-iplomacy" (Twitter Diplomacy) to illustrate the fundamental contradiction between the urgent, non-hierarchical nature of digital diplomacy and the traditional principles of diplomacy based on gradualism, secrecy, and protocol. This analysis seeks to answer whether digital diplomacy enhances and democratizes international relations, or if it undermines its foundations by deepening a state of "communication chaos" that escalates tensions and weakens traditional professional diplomacy.
